All the Onyx Bakeware pieces are vitrified, which means pieces are durable and functional for everyday use. All pieces are safe for the freezer, microwave, oven and dishwasher, perfect to take right to the table for serving. Do not use on the stovetop, under the broiler or over an open flame. Do not transfer pottery directly from the freezer to the oven. It is advisable to use a trivet or cloth between hard surface counters (granite, quartz, tile) and hot baking dishes to avoid sudden heat transfer. Pottery heated up to 400 F can be safely placed in a basket without the plastic protector.  

Because of this collection's handcrafted nature, no two pieces will be exactly alike. Naturally occurring minerals found in the clay that is used can cause a speck to appear occasionally.
